50% employees can work from offices till Feb 6

The government on Sunday (Jan 23) issued more directives to be observed from Jan 24 till Feb 6 in a bid to curb the Covid-19 transmission across the country. The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard.

All government, semi-government, self-governed and private offices have been directed to operate with 50 percent employees attending in-person while the rest will work virtually, reads the notification.

The Supreme Court will issue separate directives on running court activities during this time.

The Bangladesh Bank and concerned division of the government for financial institutions will issue necessary directives for banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions.

Earlier, the government directed schools and colleges to operate virtually for two weeks till Feb 6.
