NRBC Bank to receive all tax challan for Bangladesh Bank

NRBC Bank has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank on Automated Challan System (ACS).

Under this agreement, NRBC Bank can receive 645 types of government vat,tax,revenue, passport fees and other fees from branches, sub branches and collection booths from now onwards.  

The agreement was signed by Md. Forkan Hossain, General Manager, Bangladesh Bank and Golam Awlia, Managing Directors & CEO , NRBC Bank in presence of Ahmed Jamal, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank.

AKM  Mohiuddin Azad, Executive Director of  Bangladesh Bank, Harunur Rashid Deputy Managing Director & CFO, NRBC Bank, Kazi Md. Safayet Kabir, SEVP  of NRBC Bank, Md. Jafar Iqbal Howlader, Head of FAD, S K Perves Markar, Head of ACS operation and other senior officials of both the organizations were present, said a press release.

As a result of the government's decision, all commercial bank can take vat/tax/fees/revenue. NRBC Bank, which has always responded early, will be able to collect a huge number of government collection and fees which is definitely a good tool to generate new customers and opportunities using its current presence (83 Branch,291 Sub-Branch,306 Land Booth,32 BRTA Booth and 105 REB Booth).

Ahmed Jamal, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank said, “NRBC is the second bank who signed this agreement on ACS. As a result, tax payers and citizens can pay their tax, vat and other government fees by using nationwide large network of NRBC Bank. I believe that NRBC bank can achieve goodwill and trust from these services by using Automated Challan System.”

Golam Awlia, MD & CEO, NRBC Bank said, “The bank’s services are reaching the doorsteps of the people. For this, branches, sub-branches, booths, and other service centers are being established all over the country. The bank is receiving treasury invoices as a partner in the government’s revenue collection.”

It is to be mentioned that, NRBC Bank is collecting land Registration fee, BRTA bill, DESCO bill, DPDC bill, REB bill, TITAS bill, WASA bill from all branchs, Sub Branchs, Collection booths and agent banking points.
