All banks will remain closed on Sunday (Aug 1) and Wednesday (Aug 4) of the next week due to the recent surge of Covid-19 infection and deaths in the country. Bangladesh Bank issued a circular in this regard.
Besides, on Aug 2, 3 and 5 banking hours will be increased for one hour while banks will operate from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Currently, banks are operating from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Other bank activities will be operated according to the central bank circular issued on Jul 13, said the central Bank.
