Bangladesh Bank has re-fixed the banking transaction hour from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. from Jul 8 amid the lockdown to halt the sharp rise of Covid-19 in the country.
Banks will remain open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. while the transaction shall be made between 10 a.m. and 2.30 p.m., said a central bank circular issued on Tuesday (Jul 6).
The new time will continue until Jul 14, the circular added.
Banks to remain closed on Sunday (Jul 11).
Last week, the central bank had limited banking hours till 1:30 p.m. during the seven-day strict lockdown till Jul 7.
