Documentary exhibition marking Sheikh Hasina’s homecoming day begins Sunday

A two-day documentary exhibition will begin Sunday (May 16) marking the four decades of homecoming of Bangladesh Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the premises of Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi road number 32 in Dhaka.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will inaugurate the exhibition at 11 a.m. through a videoconference.

The party’s information and research affairs sub-committee is arranging the exhibition with the title “Four Decades of Sheikh Hasina: Indomitable Progress of Changed Bangladesh”, said a press release on Saturday.

Dhaka University former Vice-Chancellor and chairman of the board of directors of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique will virtually join the inaugural ceremony of the exhibition as the discussant while Awami League Advisory Council Member Dr Mashiur Rahman will chair it (on virtual platform).

Awami League Information and Research Secretary Dr Selim Mahmud will moderate the function from the Bangabandhu Bhaban end.

Through the exhibition, the new generation can know the history of the struggles led by Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina for restoration of the country’s democracy and Bangladesh’s unprecedented development and progress under her dynamic leadership.
