Amidst protests of shop owners and employees in different parts of the country, the government has decided to allow them to keep shops and shopping malls open for eight hours every day.
Shops and shopping malls can be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Friday (Apr 9) till Apr 13, strictly maintaining health safety guidelines. Steps will be taken for violating health guidelines, reads a circular of the Cabinet Division.
Earlier on Apr 4, the Cabinet Division issued a circular with some 11 directives, imposing a seven-day restriction on movement which will expire on Apr 11.
