Fisheries minister Rezaul Karim’s mother passes away

Majeda Begum, mother of Fisheries and Livestock Minister S M Rezaul Karim, died of old-age complications at a hospital in Khulna on Monday (Sep 21). She was 82, local media eported citing a press release.

Majeda left behind five sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.

Her Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Tarabunia Eidgah ground at Najirpur Upazilla in Pirojpur district at 10 a.m.

In a message of condolence, Secretary of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Rownak Mahmud expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Majeda Begum.

The secretary also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
