Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has made all preparations to implement the lockdown to prevent corona infection.
The DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said this after paying homage to the portrait of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi 32 in Dhaka on the occasion of the 71st founding anniversary of the Awami League (Jun 23).
Talking to reporters at Dhanmondi 32, he said, after receiving the circular of the cabinet division, the DSCC has started preparatory activities for the implementation of the lockdown and held a coordination meeting of the central implementation Committee the very next day.
The mayor said preparations for the implementation of the lockdown have already been completed ahead of the announcing of 48 to 72 hours after receiving the area-wise decision.
Tapas said, Bangladesh Awami League has always carried out its activities for the welfare of the people and this trend will continue.
Bangladesh is moving forward under the leadership of Awami League President, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He expressed hope that Bangladesh would move forward by overcoming this pandemic under her dynamic leadership.
