25% staff to run Secretariat offices

25% staff to run Secretariat offices

Offices at the Bangladesh Secretariat were asked to run activities with physical presence of maximum 25 per cent officers and employees by rotation amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain made the disclosure after being connected in a video chat with a private television on Monday (Jun 1).

At the same time, 25 per cent officers and employees can join work online and thus office work will continue by turns, he said.

‘We have asked all departments to make a rotation of employees for duties so that they could maintain the health safety for all,’ the minister told media.

The Cabinet Division will issue a directive over how to run government offices amid the virus outbreak, he added.

Government and private offices reopened on Sunday (May 31), 66 days after a shutdown across the country to contain the spread of the virus.
