On the occasion of death anniversary of legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray, JCI Dhaka West along with Ray Society of Bangladesh are organizing an web seminar named as "Remembering Satyajit: Life & Cinema".
Belayat Hossain Mamun, founder & president of Moviyana Film Society, Bangladesh, Banibrata Mukhopadhyay, renowned journalist, book editor & Satyajit Ray researcher from Kolkata, India and Md. Altamis Nabil, co-founder, RAY Society of Bangladesh & GLC, JCI Dhaka West, Bangladesh, will be there as the speakers of that online event.
Regarding the webinar Altamis Nabil said, one of the key personal who is to be credited for the revolution of Bengali films, is none other than the legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray. To make his coming death anniversary meaningful and to remember his contribution to the Bengali cinematic world, we are hence organizing this webinar. Also with that event, we are officially inaugurating Ray Society of Bangladesh, a Satyajit Ray fan society for the cinema fanatic people of Bangladesh.
