Bangladesh Bank has instructed all banks to provide one month’s basic salary to the bank officers and employees for working 10 days during the general holidays.
“If bank officers and employees work at the bank for 10 days during the general holidays, they will get incentives equivalent to a month’s basic salary,” said a central bank circular issued in Dhaka today.
Temporary or contractual officers and employees will also get 65 per cent of their salaries as special incentive allowance per month, the circular added.
But the special incentive will be minimum Taka 30,000 and maximum Taka 1,00,000.
The days will be counted from the first day of the general holidays and continue till the end of the holidays.
The central bank has issued the instruction for providing special incentive allowance to the officers and employees working in the bank amid coronavirus outbreak.
