Pathao distributes helmets in Chattogram

Pathao and a2i (Access to Information) had organized an event titled "Safety First" on the National Road Safety Day, Oct 22, to raise awareness about road safety, following the proper rules and the regulations for safety. As a significant part of the "Safety First" event, on Monday (Nov 18), Pathao Limited distributed more than 1,000 free helmets to local motorcyclists in Chattogram.

Amir Zafar, Deputy Chief Commissioner of Traffic (South), was the chief guest at the helmet distribution ceremony. He said "In present times, road safety has become very important as the number of vehicles, passengers and traffic increases."

"For ensuring road safety, it is important for the government to play a responsible role, as well as the motorcyclists, drivers, pedestrians and law enforcement agencies. Safer roads for everyone can only be achieved through everyone's awareness."

AC Traffic (North) – Md. Mijanur Rahman, was present as the special guest at the helmet distribution ceremony. Pathao Marketing Lead, Sayeda Nabila Mahabub, and Pathao Head of Operations in Chattogram and Sylhet, Ishfaq Chowdhury, were also present.

Local reporters and journalists were attended in the event.

Pathao also always kept the safety of its riders and users as the highest priority. For this reason, Pathao has distributed more than 26,000 helmets. A helmet distribution event will soon be held in Sylhet as part of its road safety campaigns.
