A seminar on ‘Understanding and Addressing Outcome based Education (OBE): Preparing for Self Assessment, Peer Review and OBE based Curriculum towards Accreditation’ was held at Bangladesh University (BU) on Sunday (Oct 13).
The seminar was presided by Prof. Dr. Anwarul Haque Sharif, Vice-Chancellor, BU. Engr. Quazi Taif Sadat, Director (Technical) was the chief guest of the seminar. Treasurer, Kamrul Hasan attended the seminar, among others.
The speaker of the seminar was Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak, Associate Professor & former head, dept. of EEE, Independent University, Bangladesh. He has served as the subject expert member of External Peer Review Team and Curriculum Review Team in different universities. As an OBE expert, he also conducted workshops on OBE in different universities.
Director of IQAC and all the faculty members of EEE and CSE department attended the seminar.
OBE is a target oriented educational system, where each student should achieve specific goals by the end of their educational experience. The self assessment report to be prepared is based on OBE oriented curriculum that will enable the departments to achieve IEB Accreditation.
