84% dengue affected patient returned home after treatment

Around 84 percent out of total 49,999 patients, who have been admitted to hospitals across the country, have returned home after recovery.

A total of 42,243 patients infected with the mosquito-borne disease have left hospitals so far, according to Health Crisis Management and Control Room of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) release on Friday (Aug 16), local media reported.

It said that a total of 49,999 patients were diagnosed with dengue fever in different hospitals across the country from Jan 1 to Aug 16, this year.

A total of 7,716 patients are currently under treatment in different hospitals and clinics across the country. Of these 7,716 patients, 4,015 are taking treatments in different hospitals, clinics across Dhaka division.
