Mymensingh Agro Ltd, a sister concern of PRAN Group, has achieved British Retail Consortium-BRC certificate. Mymensingh Agro received the recognition from the UK based BRC Certification Body recently. Eleash Mridha, Managing Director of PRAN Group, received the certificate from Engineer Abdur Rashid, Country Manager of SGS Bangladesh Ltd through a program held at PRAN Center in the capital’s Badda on Wednesday.
BRC certificate guarantees the standardization of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. BRC certificate is now a fundamental requirement of manufacturers and food service organizations for exporting its products to the Europe and America.
Before this, PRAN Agro Ltd, Natore Agro Ltd, Agricultural Marketing Company Ltd, PRAN Foods Ltd and PRAN Dairy Ltd have achieved the recognition.
Addressing the program, Eleash Mridha said, “Mymensingh Agro has received the certificate for maintaining compliance. We are exporting various fruit drinks including mango, guava, apple, orange, numerous beverage including PRAN Up and Wafer, Dry Cake, Candy and Lollypop under the company. As a result of BRC recognition, we will easily enter the Europe region and America, Australia, New Zealand to export our products.”

Yeasmin Ahmed, Head of Certification, SGS Bangladesh, Anisur Rahman, Executive Director of Mymensingh Agro Ltd and Rasel Kabir, Senior Manager (Quality Management System) of PRAN Group were also present at the program.
