The objective of the fair is to provide a platform to all graduating and already graduated students from both public and private universities and colleges to connect with the country’s leading employers from different sectors and match their career of interest.

This was revealed on Monday (Jun 24) at a press conference organized by the BRAC University at Jatiyo Press Club in Dhaka. BRAC University student affairs director Dilara Afroz Khan Rupa, Registrar Lt Col (retd) Md Foyzul Islam, and NRB Jobs BD Managing Director and CEO Mahbube Elahi Chowdhury spoke at the briefing, among others.

They said the fair will help potential jobseekers and employers to interact and eliminate the gap between their academic understanding and the expectations from the job market.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen will inaugurate the fair as the chief guest while member of the parliament Zahid Ahsan Russel will be present as the special guest on Thursday.

FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim will present a keynote paper titled “Youth Powerhouse: The key to be a developed nation” at the opening ceremony.

State minister for power, energy and mineral resources Nasrul Hamid is schedule to close the fair as the chief guest on Friday.

During the fair, career grooming sessions will be held so that the job seekers can hear from the industry leaders and experts.

Besides, two-day training on various job related topics will be held that helps the potential employees to acquire skills that the recruiters are looking for in addition to their academic knowledge.

The fair will remain open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
