Engineer Iqbal Mahmud has been made new Managing Director (MD) of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL), said a press release.
He took his office as MD in BTCL on May 20.
In 1984, Iqbal Mahmud, a BUET graduate, joined at former Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (BTTB) as assistant divisional engineer under Telecom Cadre of Bangladesh Civil Services’ (BCS) Batch of 1985.
Iqbal Mahmud, born at Kushtia city, is a joint secretary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
