Bangladesh Railway will start selling advance train tickets on May 22 on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr. The ticket sale will continue till May 26. The sale of return tickets will begin on May 29 and continue till Jun 2, local media reported citing Railways secretary Md Mofazzal Hossain.
Tickets for May 31 journey will be available on May 22 while for Jun 1 on May 23, for Jun 2 on May 24, for Jun 3 on May 25 and for Jun 4 on May 26.
Besides, the return tickets for Jun 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 will be available on May 29, 30, 31, Jun 1 and 2 respectively.
Six pairs of special trains will run on different routes for Eid. Advance tickets will be sold at five different spots other than Kamalapur Station. Moreover, this year 50% of the tickets will be sold via mobile apps.
Meanwhile, sale of advance bus ticket will begin on May 17, said Ramesh Chandra, chairman of Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners Association.
The selling of tickets will start on May 17 for May 30 journey, he said.
