Dhallywood actress Purnima will return to the silver screen. 'Lal Tip' and 'Porobashinee' director, Swapan Ahmed, has recently announced that his new film 'Voboghure' (which means Vagabond) has cast Purnima in the lead role, according to a report.
Initially, the director thought of casting Tanjin Tisha for the lead, but changed due to some complications. The director surprised everyone by declaring the 'Moner Majhe Tumi' and 'Hridoyer Kotha' star.
Director Swapan Ahmed told the press about the complications with casting Tisha. He stated that Voboghure will be filmed in France and Switzerland, while all the cast members got their visas, except Tisha. As a result, Tisha can't go to France for the shoot, hence Purnima was chosen for the role.
However, the final decision depends on whether Purnima will get her visa or not. Swapan, who is currently in France, told the press that his team is planning to start the shoot from Nov 12.
Some French actors will also star in the film alongside the Bangladeshi cast. The director also added that the story of his film, 'Voboghure,' is based on true events that took place in France.
