Michigan’s Alma Cooper was named Miss USA on Sunday (Aug 5). The 22-year-old, who has a Master’s in data science from Stanford University, beat 50 other contestants in a pageant that included swimwear and evening gown competitions. Kentucky’s Connor Perry and Oklahoma’s Danika Christopherson were named first and second runners up, respectively.
Miss Michigan USA Alma Cooper was crowned Miss USA 2024 after the finalists were announced on Sunday at the pageant in Los Angeles.
Contestants from all over the United States brought the sparkle to the Miss USA 2024 stage, but only five were selected to walk the stage for the evening gown competition, where they had the opportunity to showcase their style, grace and presence.
The top five of the Miss USA 2024 featured the winner of the night, Miss Michigan Alma Cooper, as well as Miss Kentucky Connor Perry, Miss Tennessee Christell Foote, Miss Oklahoma Danika Christopherson and Miss Ohio Macy Hudson.
