The three-day long second international conference on 'Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development' was ended on Saturday (Sep 23) at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). On the last day of the conference, three researchers were awarded in the category of 'Innovative and Timely research, three researchers for extraordinary research presentation while two others were jointly awarded for designing logo. Vice-Chancellor of BUP Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam handed over the award among the winners in the closing session of the three-day conference said an ISPR press release.
BUP Information and Communication Engineering Department organized the conference with the theme 'Shaping a sustainable future through advancement in information and communication technology', which supports the government's vision of building 'Smart Bangladesh'.
The conference has drawn 287 research papers from 15 countries on 'Scope of ICT in healthcare, education, business, agriculture, industry, and smart city'. Among them, a total of 100 papers were presented in the conference.
To foster a congenial environment in exchanging scientific, technical, and engineering ideas amongst academia and industries, this conference has also included an industry exhibition.
