A total of 20,762 meritorious students of class nine and ten in ten districts of Khulna division were given tabs as recognition for their respective brilliant result. As gifts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Khulna divisional commissioner Md Helal Mahmud Sharif on Monday (Jul 17) distributed the tabs among the students at a function as the chief guest, local media reported.
Khulna divisional commissioner office organized the distribution ceremony at Khulna Shilpokola Academy with Khulna deputy commissioner Khondokar Yasir Arefin in the chair.
Khulna district education officer Md Kamruzzaman, general secretary of city unit of Awami League MDA Babul Rana and freedom fighter Md Alamgir Kabir addressed the event as special guests while joint director of Khulna divisional statistics office Md Mahmuduzzaman delivered the welcome speech.
