Vaccination for children aged 5-11 years begins in Ctg

The vaccination programme for the children aged 5-11 years began in the port city and the district on Wednesday (Aug 24).

Under the programme, over four lakh doses of Pfizer vaccines will be given under the supervision of City Corporation and the respective Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) of the district.

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated the 14-day programme at local Municipal Model Government Primary School on Wednesday (Aug 24).

A total of 164 teams in 41 wards of the city corporation will conduct the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the CCC mayor urged the ward councilors to cooperate to make the immunization program a success, local media reported.
