About DHL

Number one in express and logistics

The management and divisional structure of DHL was changed at the beginning of 2003. Deutsche Post World Net's STAR Program had identified that it made sense to use one brand to represent all of their express and logistics business worldwide. As a result, the services of fellow group companies Danzas and Deutsche Post Euro Express are currently being integrated.

There are now four divisions within DHL:
DHL Express
DHL Freight
DHL Danzas Air & Ocean
DHL Solutions

The company will offer its new range of products and services on a one-stop basis, providing a complete range of express and logistics solutions from a single source.

The strengths of the three companies from which the new DHL was formed combine to make a formidable presence in the logistics and transportation industry:

DHL is the global market leader of the international air express industry, operating in over 220 countries and territories, and in 2002 it had 71,000 employees. While its core business is transporting documents and packages, it also offers e-Commerce fulfilment and intelligent logistics solutions, particularly special solutions for various industries such as Automotive and Life Sciences as well as customised solutions for global customers.

Danzas is the world's leading provider of IT-supported logistic solutions, operating in 150 countries. Its strengths are in innovative customised solutions, worldwide air and ocean freight, global project forwarding, European overland transport, e-business and 4th party logistics.

Euro Express is the parcel and distribution network of Deutsche Post in Germany and Europe, providing a road-based service through an extensive and reliable European road network for both business and private customers.
