BAGGAGE RULES: A TIPS FOR
INTENDING VISITORS TO BANGLADESH
When a person travels from a country to another,
he is guided by a set of rules and regulations, which he must follow and abide
by during his visit to that particular country, these are baggage rules. To
keep pace with the ever-changing globalised world, every country have their
own set of baggage rules to facilitates the travelers and tourists from across
the world. There are some uniformity and differences in these rules depending
on the counties and their perception to preserve its national interests across
the world and Bangladesh is no exception. These rules are not applicable to
all the passengers equally, rather these go by following the categories of
travellers. So these varies from person to person depending on their status
and specific categories they belong to. But there are some rules which are
applicable to all passengers, tourists alike including foreigners. Tourists
should have to obey certain rules while Non-Resident Bangladeshis have to go
by some other specific rules. But for foreign investors --- these rules are
quite flexible in nature as the government has set its goal to attract foreign
direct investment for greater good of the nation and expedite its development.
While diplomats enjoy some immunity in baggage rules in accordance with the
Geneva Convention which most of the countries follow.
