Biswa Ijtema on Feb 15-17

Biswa Ijtema on Feb 15-17

Bishwa Ijtema of Tablig Jamaat will be held on Feb 15-17 and it will be held once instead of two phases. State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah made the announcement on Thursday (Jan 24) from a meeting held at Religious Affairs Ministry with the presence of a delegation from two feuding groups of Tabligh Jamaat, local media reports said.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Wednesday said the Biswa Ijtema will be held in February at Tongi as the two factions of Tabligh Jamaat reached an understanding over holding this grand congregation.

This year, the first phase of Biswa Ijtema was scheduled to be held from Jan 11 to 13 and the second one from Jan 18 to 20, but those were postponed due to the Dec 30 National Election.
