Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday (Jan 9) paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman here marking the installation of her government for the third consecutive term. The PM paid tributes to Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at his graveyard at Tungipara in the afternoon.

After laying the wreaths, Sheikh Hasina stood there in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to Bangabandhu, the architect of independence.
