Due to the upcoming 11th parliamentary election, this year’s annual accounts closing of banks will be held on Dec 27, instead of Dec 30.
Bangladesh Bank issued a circular to the CEOs and Managing Directors of all scheduled banks on Tuesday (Dec 18), local media reported.
According to the circular, due to the national polls scheduled on Dec 30, all scheduled banks will announce this year's annual accounts closing on Dec 27 — with the approval of appropriate authorities.
However, the bank holiday on Dec 31 will remain unchanged, the circular added.
