Jatiyo Oikyofront announces to join election

Jatiyo Oikyofront on Sunday (Nov 11) announced to participate in the upcoming 11th parliamentary elections as part of its movement to “restore” democracy.

“We, however, demand deferment of the current election schedule by one month and announcement of a new schedule,” said Dr Kamal Hossain while briefing journalists at the Jatiya Press Club.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, on behalf of Dr Kamal, read out a written statement of the Jatiyo Oikyafront. 

Jatiyo Oikyofront includes Dr Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikyo Prokriya, ASM Abdur Rab's Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Mahmudur Rahman Manna's Nagorik Oikya, Bangabir Kader Siddique-led Krishak Sramik Janata League, and BNP.
