Seminar on higher education opportunities

Uttara University organized a daylong seminar on 'Higher Education Opportunities in Bangladesh and Abroad' at Amirjan College, Khilkhet, Dhaka, on Saturday (Oct 28).

A team of Uttara University was led by Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Dean of School of Business visited the College. As a part of the CSR programs, Uttara University jointly organized this seminar with Amirjan College.

Md. Zillur Rahman, Founder Chairman, Amirjan College and Amirjan High School inaugurated the program and delivered the welcome speech.

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Ataur Rahman, Professor, Eden College, and Chief Adviser of Amirjan College. Lt. Colonel Md. Anwarul Islam Khan (Retd.), Principal of Amirjan College was present as guest of honor.

Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Dean of School of Business, Dr. Kazi Khairul Islam, Dean, School of Science and Engineering, Dr. Md. Mijanur Rahman, Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, Ms. Dulali Rani Saha, Assistant Professor, Md. Amzad Hossain, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Education were present as guest speakers in the seminar.

Dr. Pranabananda Chakraborty, Deputy Registrar, Uttara University, also spoke on the occasion.

More than 800 HSC students and about 50 teachers of Amirjan College attended the seminar.
