The government has fixed the office timing during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on every working day.

The cabinet on Monday (May 7) decided the government office timing at a meeting, held with the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the Prime Minister's Office in the city, said Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam at a briefing after the meeting.

The Cabinet Secretary said there will be a 15-minute break from 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for Zohr prayer. The new timing will be effective for all the government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court, hospitals, banks, insurance agencies, emergency services providing organisations will fix up their own office timings.
