to change its name to aamra.
aamra is the Bangla word for “we”. It recognises the power that
partnership and cooperation have in achieving any goal. It believes
that by harnessing the strength of togetherness with all stakeholders,
it will be able to surmount any obstacle in their path and scale new
heights.
Who We Are
Bangladeshinfo.com is an internet web portal that has been created to
present a three dimensional view of Bangladesh to the cyberworld. The
project was originally conceptualized in the advent of Y2K and the
global internet revolution by the young and forward-thinking
entrepreneurs of Texas Group - a leading business house engaged in
indenting and supplying state-of-the art machinery and system
solutions in Bangladesh, particularly in the Textile, Ready Made
Garments and Financial sectors. aamra is also a pioneer in the
Information Technology industry in Bangladesh, having launched their
Computer and Network services 14 years ago in 1987.

aamra. We are committed to the policy of introducing frontline
technology and technology-based products and services in Bangladesh,
which will act as the catalyst to a better and more modern Bangladesh.

aamra infotainment limited is comprised of a group of competent individuals
drawn from a wide range of pertinent professions. The company is
divided into the following departments:
Portal
This department consists of programmers, designers and content
providers, with backgrounds as diverse as medicine, journalism, art,
business and fashion. The Portal Team works together in researching,
developing and updating the content, as well as in designing the pages
and creating back-end systems for the portal channels.
The Content team is comprised of
talented and skilled young professionals who strive to provide quality
information via an elaborate process of researching, collecting, and
creating content relevant to Bangladeshis both locally and abroad.
The Graphics and Design team
consists of members with a strong background in the fine arts as well
as computer graphics. This is the team that is responsible for
designing the look and layout of the portal, as well as creating the
banners for advertisers shown on the portal pages.
The Programming team is comprised
of skilled young professionals trained both locally and abroad, who
provide the back-end systems for the portal channels, and who have
designed and created intricate systems and programs such as the Bangla
e-mail system.
The portal channels are as follows: News, Business, Sports,
Cricket, IT,
Fashion, Music, Entertainment and Food. We also offer services such as Deshchat, Deshmail, a free
web-based email service - including a unique system that allows users
to send emails in Bangla.
Web Solutions
This department provides a complete package for companies seeking
quality web sites - from concept and design through to implementation,
including back-end solutions and periodical updating (as required).
Advertising
The Advertising team carries out all the legwork to promote the portal
in the local and international arena. They play an instrumental role
in generating revenue through our various client services.
